This year has been an unbelievable one. First of all, like most people reading this, I am thankful to be alive. After the events of this year, I think a lot of people will be less likely to take that fact for granted than they might have last year.
Like most people reading this, my thoughts and prayers go out on this Thanksgiving, to all of the families who have lost someone this year, particularly to the events of September Eleventh and to the cases of Anthrax that have followed those horrible events. Special thanks to all of those people who are doing the things that the rest of us will never know about to make the rest of us safer.
I am most thankful for my family. I am thankful for my wife, who works so hard at home that I am free to go to work every day not having to worry about where she is, or where Grace is, or how they are doing. I am thankful for Grace, who is here with us this year for her first thanksgiving. Grace is growing so fast and becoming such a big girl. For those of you who are looking at these pages to see pictures of her growing, my apologies for not getting them updated more often. I hope to have more time to get some pictures of her uploaded, soon.
I am thankful for my extended family. All of you are wonderful and we are lucky to have you as family, no matter how much we joke with you about it. <smile>
I am thankful for my job. There are a lot of people who currently don't have jobs, our friends and family included. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you, as well. May you all have better luck in your job search in the coming days. And, may each and every one of you find a place that treats you respectfully and that is satisfying.
Thanks to my friends. All of you, all over the country, all
over the world. We are very thankful that all of you are safe,
today. We are lucky to have such wonderful friends who have
stayed in touch with us no matter where we have moved in our
travels. We are blessed to have too many friends to mention
each and every one of you, individually.
Special thanks to all of our friends in
Minnesota that we look forward to seeing, sometime soon.
Grace wants to say hello, today, to all of her new friends from this year:
Our thoughts today, go to Daryl and Jillian, who are spending their first thanksgiving together as a married couple.
Our blessings to our family, friends, and neighbors who are expecting new additions to their families. You know who you are.
